Good to hear you'll be back soon. We've missed ya!!

My honest opinion of the new Confrontation rules is that they are a new game. It is not an upgrade (or downgrade) of the C3/3.5 rules. I look at it as more of a version of WHFB than anything. The character and unit names are the same, but just about everything else is new. It's more like AT-43 than anything as far as mechanics.

If you keep that in mind, then you can see that these new rules are actually quite fun. Joel and I have played several times and I've yet to feel like I was getting beat because of the rules as opposed to my bad tactical decisions. The game plays pretty quick and has a large emphasis on scenarios rather than wiping out your opponent.

I like the rules a lot and I'm sure I'll like them more when the "real" rulebook comes out and there's less question of what will be changed (no Elixir for casting) or what has been misinterpreted.

Of course, we'll be more than glad to give you a demo when you return.

So what do you think of the rules as a whole? Is it worth spending more money to be able to at least play the new game? I think I'm close to being able to field a valid army but I want an honest opinion.

P.S. Just over a month and I will be back!
