I got more stuff painted. The Ogres are more for the Warseer “Tale of Fantasy Players” painting-motivation thread. We try to get 200 points painted per month. This month’s total is 222, which puts me pretty well ahead of the game. It’s Ogres, so it’s pretty easy to keep up. On the Tyranid front, I have about 350 points fully painted now. These have been easier than I thought they’d be. I went with a speed-painting technique that’s pretty easy to replicate no matter the size of the model.

On Sunday I went over to Games To Die For to play in our local Warhammer Fantasy league. We’re starting at 200 points and adding 100 points every week until we reach 2,000 points (I think). Here’s a pic of some Spinegaunts I finished the other day. I decided to go with a less “colorful” scheme to try and emulate insects on Earth. It didn’t really turn out how I envisioned, they actually turned out better!! when they are all grouped together, they look really cool, IMHO. I have 5 Termagants that are started as well. I anticipate them being finished by Thursday morning.

I’ve also been working on finishing some Ogre Ironguts as well. I hope for them to be done by next week.

Joel (Sryth) is working on building an Empire army from Confrontation Griffin figures. Right now he only has about 1,300 points, so we decided to do a small game this past Thursday. Read the rest of this entry »
