Last Thursday I got in another game of Warhammer 40,000 using my Tyranids. There’s a couple that come to Gamerz just about every Thursday to play Warhammer 40K. I believe their names are Nick and Amanda, but I’m not 100% sure (I apologize if either of you are reading this!). They mentioned to me a [...]

The tournament was being run by the same guy who is running the Warhammer Fantasy League, which has been running for a few months now.
Warhammer 40,000 – 1,500 points of Tyranids vs. Necrons

This was first posted on Circle City Gamers.
Fred and I, after a week or two of delay, were finally able to play a decent-sized game of Warhammer 40,000. This would be my third game with the Tyranids for me and probably Fred’s third game with his Necrons.

His army:

Necron Lord (Staff of Light, Resurrection Orb, Veil [...]

Alkemy – 200 points “refresher” game

Joel’s been wanting to get back into Alkemy lately and he plans on doing some demos at WhosYerCon. Last Thursday, I showed up to find he and Jim playing Alkemy at 300 points. I believe Jim ended up winning with his Avalon versus Joel’s Jade Empire. Afterward, Joel and I played.

Warhammer 40,000 – Tyranids vs. Imperial Guard, 800 points

Brian wanted me to teach him Warhammer 40,000 last Thursday. Like an idiot, I lent Fred my rulebook, so I had to recall most things from memory. We muddled through and I think we got most things right. I gave Brian the choice of playing either the Tyranids or the Imperial Guard. He chose the [...]

HeroClix – My first tournament experience

Yes, I said HeroClix. See, a friend of mine, Fred, is really into the game and has been helping me acquire models to play. He’s invited me to the local comic shop’s (Downtown Comics – West) HeroClix tournaments many times, but I never felt comfortable enough with the rules to join in. This weekend’s tournament [...]
