Gaming: CAoR: 2500 Point Hydra List vs. Dragon

Last Thursday (1/4/08) I played vs. Joel’s Dragon list again. I changed up my list as I think he might have as well. My goal with this list was to include the most expensive character in the Hydra list: Yh-Sabahal. I’ve wanted to play with this figure since C3 and never got to play a big enough game to allow it. Here’s the list I took:

4x Firespitters w/Akkadhalet (Devastation of the Doll)
6x Demonic Satyrs w/Yh-Sabahal (Skin Mask & Elusion Doll)
15x Warriors of the Abyss (Standard and Collector) w/Nilarakh (Elusion Doll)
2x Cthonian Larvae
1x Cyclops

We played the “Take the Position” scenario. We ended the game after 3 rounds, I think, with me having 18 Elixir and him having 10 or so. His dragon focused on killing Yh-Sabahal, but thanks to the Hydra Gift, he ended up with only one wound, but having lost his whole unit of Satyrs. Once Yh-Sabahal got into contact with Soim and then Galayan(sp?), I see why he is 555 points. I look forward to our upcoming league where we get to play 3000 points where I’ll feel much more comfortable fitting the beast in there. Looks like he’ll be hitting my painting table again very soon.

Sorry I’ve been a little slow at updating the banner sheet; there were some issues with Rackham’s PDF as it didn’t list the minimum unit sizes. Now it’s been updated with the Dragon Army. Enjoy!
